Some very clever person over at wikipedia has posted this nice chart of all public polls of the Canadian Fedeeral Election with a fancy swath of colour indicating the trends. It only goes to 18 January in this version. The data for the chart is here. Click for a little larger scale if you feel the need.
With five days between the last dip in the paint can colouring the above, is it possible for the red and blue to meet? I think I now want a tie but for no particular reason other than to see stupification on their faces.

Looking at the seat predictions, I wonder why nobody in the Liberal party stood up and decided to oust Paul Martin.

Martin's will be gone very shortly after losing to Harper. What I haven't heard is who will run to replace him. A good friend, and paid Liberal-party member, would have thougth Goodale, but he's not wearing a teflon suit these days.
