Is there anything better than a January thaw? OK, a February one. This is an inordinately warm winter here and there is a good chance if this keeps up that the lake won't freeze at all.

I've experienced 3 weeks of chinooks here in central Alberta - The only snow out here is up towards the mountains and a little in the bush. Not bad for my first winter back in country. Temps averaging around 10C highs.
