What a business. It has been something of a good but mad past few weeks of work, the election came to a grand conclusion at the same time and I had all that extra CBC blogging to do. Forty-four posts in the end. I don't think it was really award winning stuff - though I think my least loved leader post was something better than average. But it is done and all of a sudden things are quieter. Quite quiet.
Adding that many additional posts, even with having a professional editorial team, was not without its challenges. Mainly being sensible. If I look back at posts from a year or two ago, as I was reminded by the Good Flea today, I think I was much more clever then compared to now. And photographed more. I wonder why. Now I prefer to be less sensible. I certainly got my fill of partisan blogging well before the election and likely wanted to move of that. What pills do you have to take to be that ardent? Plus, when I think of another area I have covered - law - it seems the interesting legal simply has not been as ripe in the last few months as it was before. I suppose you can legalize gay marriage only so often. Harper really can't undo much of that. Maybe it will be a quiet few months at least as he organizes our new rural overlords and teaches them that a moral majority means a majority that is made up of 36.7% of something.
But, as always, the increase in chattery makes it worth while. Do keep at it. I will try to think of new inventions of the mind to share with you, new clumsy logos. In the meantime say "Coco Crisp" a few times to yourselves each just before you go off to sleep. Soon it will be spring.

That is the best. That is the best news since the Yankees got the boot last fall. Coco Crisp. Whisper it at the brows of your sleeping children. I want the Coco shirt. <p>In an official meeting today I approached a man in a suit and said "Coco". He replied "I am koo-koo for Coco". That is all we said.

The best code-word reponse phrases are the ones that confound the rest of the people in the room. Especially if you can both pull it off with straight faces intact.
