Hey! Imagine a TV ad at the end of a close election campaign that is not an evil mean piece of attack ad, has a decent sense of humour and yet could be co-opted by the very object of the attack.
Have a look at the ad on the CPC site called "Jack Talk". People saying they don't like the NDP much with a floatie of Jack's moustacheo floating mid-air. I say the NDP turn it around and run with this. They should send out a mass distribution of Jack's sub-Lanny MacDonald busshy lip rug and invite people to walk around for the next few days wearing it.
Turn the joke and show you are confident, Jack.

Hahaha. That's a brilliant ad, actually. Go, Jack's moustache, go!

Jack: "There's a third option, there's a third option, who's a pretty boy, squawk, there's a third option". Just kidding, ha ha.
The ad is pretty funny but I wonder if it's a mistake for the Tories. I assume the strategy behind this is to get the right-half of dissaffected Liberals to sit it out at home rather than vote NDP. If I was the Green party -- which has elements of blue Liberal/red Tory "social liberal/fiscally conservative" -- this would be a good chance to say "do your duty go to the polls and give us a try this time"

I think the ad will mainly play in BC. I doubt it will be aired much if at all in Toronto.

It was on TV here last night. Or was that the news playing it?
