I watched Doc Martin on Vision TV. I really did. And the network formerly known as Outdoor Life Network, now just OLN, has started a good series called Bushcraft with Ray Mears. Unlike a show like Austrailia's Bush Tucker Man (a favorite of mine) the topic is not only contemporary survival and unlike Survivorman, it is not a reality show. No, Bushcraft is actually an archeological anthropology show. Last night's episode was on tool making and life in pre-historic Britain circa 6000 BC. Other episodes explore community living in the wild around the word, then and now.

It is a bit odd that Ray Mears is named in the shows title. It would be like Gen X at 40 with Al or Ghost of a Flea with the Flea. But that is a side point.
