When I was in undergrad, one friends always remarked how February flew by like a bat outta hell (forgive - it was the Meatloaf era) and should be taken as a harbinger that essays would soon be late, exams taken and the term over. It was an oddly uncheery wee thought then when, for some unknown reason, summers considered a down-time compared school term. OK, not so unknown...harder to hit the bars on Tuesday at 11 pm when you are back living at home.
This February is pacticularly fleeting especially given the continued lack of snow and storms, the apparently unnewsworthy near 20 cent drop in a litre of gas, the relatively peaceful patch we are in from politics to sports and fact that spring is only five weeks away. I can't recall had a softer winter. We get so caught up in crisis that sometimes we do not notice when there is a quiet gap.

A co-worker and I were talkint about the weather at work the other day. We're both life-long Kingstonians. This year is the second time in about 5 years that Lake Ontario off Kingston hasn't frozen over. The last time was the first time in his lifetime that it had happened. Bernie's 51.

Yankees fans got hit hard for a change--record snows in NYC yesterday, and I say let 'em have it!!! They are such wimps, too, compared with northern New England where 27 inch snow storms are common (but not this year: 5 inches yesterday and sun or rain predicted all week).
Why say, how many days until pitchers and catchers report??

I dunno but we sure need a "GX40 Spring Training" camp of some sort.

As long as I get to ride the bench and make rude comments about our opponents, such as Team Flea.

I just feel like it's a sign I'm gettng older that I notice time flying by so quickly. As a kid, things could never get here fast enough. You were either waiting for a b-day, Christmas, Halloween, or some other holiday/vacation. And it always took forever. Now as you say, there never seems to be enough time, it just flies by.
