Hitting the road today to have lunch with Gary in Ithaca and do some Christmas shopping. SO i have to make this quick.
- First, there is a bloggers bash in Toronto tonight. I am not going but these people have no idea what I look like so if you are in Toronto go the party and say you are me. Frankly, you people are what make GX40 tick. So I will be really embarrassed if fewer than, say, 30 phony "Big Als From GX40" don't show up. Here are the details of the meet up. I understand that it is a Flea approved event and you may see spats.
- The lake effect snow look like it has backed off a bit. That is good. Earlier in the week Parish, NY got 16.5 inches of snow in three hours.
- It's been a big week in human rights in Canada what with the final defeat of same-sex marriage denial and the aboriginal right to trees being acknowledged (not granted, acknowledged.) What next? What change that is not yet on the radar do you want to see.
- And it has been a week of change in the States with everyone ganging up on good old Rummy with even the President now saying things are bad in Iraq. What should have been done? I am still pointlessly smug in that I was and am a Powellista. But what could have been done better and when?

cm, you HAVE to go and claim you're Alan. Alan is actually a petite woman in little cowboy boots.....
-The weather, AHEM, is not exactly perfect here. Drive carefully. Supposed to clear up a bit. It is forking COLD AND WINDY AND SNOWY.
-OK, off to clean the litter box and sweep the floors so my guest is not too appalled at my housekeeping....

I wasn't sure about going tonight but now I'm definitely going. What would Big Al wear, I wonder? ("petite" - hee)

So Harper and his patsy Mackay are conceding that the same sex marriage issue is now officially dead in Canada - thank you, thank you, thank you. Things are good - let's move on to other pressing issues (read not Quebec).

Great to see both rulings were in favour of group and individuals rights. I think the case was mainly fought on the grounds that a "truckhouse" clause of the treaties of 1760-61 was not being upheld. The treaty was signed which gave the Mik'maq entitlement to logging and fishing rights [mainly eel] on Crown land. However, they were to go through these so-called "truckhouses" when doing any type of trading so as to guarantee that European goods would be traded.

No spats tonight, I'm afraid. I cut a striking figure in a coachman's hat, however...

Something tells me I'm going to be horribly underdressed.

They shall know you by your boots, cm...

Too cold for the cowboy boots, so I went with the work boots. Flea did indeed cut a striking figure in his coachman's hat.

I felt it best saved for an official GX40 event.
