Sometimes I just write a headline to see what I can make of it. Before I wrote on these things, I used to think that I was missing recording all these great ideas I would make something of. Now I figure they just get out of my head. I have three things to actually write now that are not related to the blogs or work. My approach to that writing is entirely different. I plan, I research, I save little turns of phrase that I think are clever. This blog gets none of that respect - I often start writing before I know what I am about to write. I suppose it shows and the odd thing is how, even at around 3145 posts, I only go back to a handful to build upon a thought, of cross-check on my previous statements for inevitable contradiction. I think I am doing something other than writing in a way...but I don't really know what.

Another thing I thought about is how TV keeps you sucked in. Going without TV for a while reminds how having only radio is as good as having a cottage. TV keeps your attention like the guy whose job is to distract you as your pocket is picked.

Another is the goodness of space. Cats are entirely acceptable living companions when you have a space that allows them to be out of site for half the time. I am not unkind to the cats, except when I speak of them to other people, but one of their strong suits is their independence.

Another thing I thought about was a realization I checked the top of a tree after I felt a cool breeze. I was looking to see if any leaves had starting changing. Another fall and winter, another sweater season and reflection that this is the 25th year since highschool stopped and undergrad began as well as the 15th since law school ended. I don't think I qualify for the prefix "young..." anything anymore. No, that ain't exactly true. Maybe a Young Lawnbowler of the Year title is in my future.
