Yes, but soon you have to worry about rooting out your septic pipes and cleaning your eaves. You don't own houses, houses own you. Also mowing.

One plan I do have is to add more fruiting plants and this place looks like it is worth investigating.

Nice. When I get a house the first thing I'm going to do is rip out the grass in my front yard and replace it with creeping thyme or some other variety of blankety herb that doesn't require wasteful watering but which won't make the neighbours drop over dead as huge weeds spread across my property and their house prices drop.

Also, speaking of slugs...

Alan, I have a bazillion (yeay verily) catalogues for seeds and plantage items. Ask and ye shall be given.

I also have some very cool jasmine plant seeds that I shall if you so desire share with you should you like the scented floral items that make one pine for pre-Brit-Exodus Imperial India.

Alzo, I have a cedar garden with a whole imperial whack of Englisha and French lavender for tea and scenting.

Not to mention my GIAN PUMPKIN (up to about 40 lbs)

Excellent. I am a former seed catalog nutcase myself. There was an English place I bought from with exotic seeds for things like Kenyan poppies, palms, cactuses and banana plants. Here they are - Chiltern's Seeds.

You mean "poo eating machine," right? I knew I was a writer when I thought that up.

The pumper in my old town had it printed on the side of the truck
'in this game a good flush beats a full house every time'.
Amen.
So, as some have noticed, the Red Sox have followed their typical late season story: Yanks spend millions and head toward the playoffs while the Red Sox......
dang I'm glad football is upon us.

You don't own houses, houses own you.

That is beautiful!
