Twenty-three years ago, Mike and I were rather near each other
Interesting to note Mike's reference to the 1982 Gary US Bonds concert at the old Dal rink in Halifax. I remember walking by when the concert was happening heading to a friend's place in a neighbouring street. Having spent a decade in Halifax from when I was 18 to 28 when Mike was about the same age I suspect if we every meet it will be "oh, it's you" as we recollect years of weekends ill-spent down at the Seahorse.

Hey, that arrow looks familiar! Did you know Teddy and Jeddy? They are friends of a friend - whenever I saw Teddy we did the handshake from 'Animal House'.
Interestingly, another bloggy-Jersey shore connection, Dave and I were at the U2 concert at the CNE in 1987 and Steve Van Zandt (as well as Los Lobos) was an opening act.

And Al and I almost met at a wedding. No wait a minute, we did meet at wedding. I'm sure there's still folks wondering what the hell happened there ;-)

That was the best blog-initiated event ever, David.

Bloggers crashing weddings. I smell a rejected Hollywood screenplay.

Speaking of Halifax, greetings from there! Read the beer menu at Maxwell Plum's but didn't indulge. Perhaps later this afternoon...

When do I get to go to Halifax and not see our friend Mike? And what's this with Maxwell Plums? I feel like I am missing all the fun.
