Two weekends of amazing. One of total yawn. The Saturday semi-final games were dullsville and, gee, Florida smokes a underperforming UCLA in last night's final. ZZZZZZ.
Anyway, there was a pool and we need an outcome. This table is a work in progress this evening as Gerry Remy's dulcet tones fill the living room calming my HTML table-making nerves.

So to conclude the final point allocations:
- #6 - Hans wins the haiku because I have no idea what it means and haiku is for really briany people like Hans. Scott's #6 was really a #11.
- #10 - I win as of course Oral Roberts is the funniest name but Hans, who also picked it did not describe it in 25 words or less even if the 31st and 32nd words were "Monica Lewinsky".
- #11 - Rob gets ten points for a strange coincidence rather than bearing some resemblance to an actual event as Jim Nantz could have been hit by a basketball and I wanted him to be hit by a backetball.
9:17 pm Update: I win. It's all about the dark horse, gents. Hey...what's that in the driveway...a new car? HOLY MOLY - I WON A CAR!! GOD, I LOVE SPORTS POOLS!!!

Well, congratulations, Alan. Even though it's awfully suspect when the person who comes up with the questions, comes up with each question's value, and decides who wins each question (those that were subjective at least) is the overall winner. But I won't gripe about it, even though I think my haiku is just as unintelligible as Hans'. Suppose I shouldn't complain, though, since Nantz didn't really come close to being hit on the head by anything (pray as we all might).

Congrats Al and thanks for hosting a pool this year. Not to take away from your victory, but I think we all sucked. Or maybe the results were wierd this year. Or maybe the pool was rigged from the start!!! (D'oh! I told myself I wouldn't bring that up: must plot revenge quietly...) Finally, though, I must defend myself: I do no resemble any brians that I am aware of. Thanks again.

I think everyone sucked. I heard of the thousands and thousands of people who entered the ESPN on-line pool, only 4 picked the final four. Take that as some comfort as we each consider the state of our own respective brains.<p>That being said, prepare ye all for the GX40 2006 hockey playoff pool. Holy moly! I have about a week to think that up!

Congrats Alan. The pool was definitely a four way race of back bracketeers. As well, you're right about the ESPN pool. Here's one of the winners out of the 3 million who entered this year.
