Great work, Al. I got an email from a mutual friend early Friday morning regarding this site. I took a quick look, bookmarked it, and thought I would read it when we got home from the mainland. My first impression in the wee bit I read was that the writing sounded exactly like our "Longears" friend without the errrs and what's up doc's.
Surprise, surprise...the site was wiped clean by the time we got home later Friday evening. After reading this, I can see what got everyone upset. The only positive thing was that my name didn't appear with all the rhetoric.
The villian has been "outed" and as I long suspected he is a party insider.

Dastardly splintering schismist!!!

[Ed.: Try saying that like Daffy Duck.]

The villain has been outed? Where was he outed? Who is it? Is it who I suspected?

Hans -

PS: yes, these were surely some lowlights of blogging. when you write your "critical history of the internet" i'm sure they'll get a footnote or two.

Well who the heck is it? Myself and thousands of other nosey islanders want to know. You just can't say he's outed without outing him? Are his initials t.c.?

Alan -

I said nuttin'. Nuttin' said I. Jean said it and not me 'cause I know nuttin'.

Somebody better tell me sumpin! Soon! Cause I am nosey.

I would never name the person as it is not my place even though I heard it from a reliable source because the guy offering the reward made a deal that if the blogger called him, issued apologizes, etc. he would not bring public disgrace to his family. Could be he has done this already.
I received emails from folks in town who suggested a name that was being bantied about and it appears they were correct. I long suspected the blogger was a party insider, because several events I attended were on earlier blogs even describing what I wore, who I spoke with, and how I handled myself. Creepy.
But unless the local paper decides to pursue it, his name will probably only be available through the PEI grapevine. And you know what is said about the PEI grapevine...if you hear it more than twice than it has to be true!
Suffice to say, we are all just glad the site has been shut down.

Awww. Did I miss something???

Hey Cool Girl: Check out peiinfo.com.

I DID check it out. There is no naming of said mystery blogger there. Just a bunch of sniping back and forth.
