Brian posts an email from a pal who went to New Orleans to help. Brian explains:
I have a friend I know from the fire department in Austin. He's a firefighter, He's an EMT, and he's a Marine. He returned from Iraq early this year, and more recently he's been in New Orleans. Here's the unedited text of an email I received from him recently.
