I'm not one of these people who will say they don't watch a lot of TV. I watch a lot of TV. I think I have gained more from TV than I could ever describe. It tells me what I need and what I need to know. TV has shaped my life from the non-educational Jackson Five and Hot Wheel cartoons of my pre-school life to, since cable news, each moment of massive tragedy and conflict of the last 15 years. After watching the bombs start to drop in Gulf War Uno back in 16 January 1991 I had to go play intermural basketball during which there was a real question of propriety over playing the game when green tracer bullets filled the sky on TV. We played but we were thinking about our TVs.
So last night, I signed up for some movie channels and some mega-stations to ensure I have more baseball in my life. As I was on the phone, the person said "that should do it" and along with the final "t" I heard the click of a keyboard and instantly Fenway Park via UPN 38 was on the screen of my TV. It was so beneficent, a gift, immediate. The bright green of the grass, the dull green of the Monster.
I think I am a radio nerd. We are all TV nerds.

Alan... have you read about this? From Daily Kos.
Two Canadian frigates, one destroyer and one coast guard vessel sailed from Halifax today with supplies and about 1000 personnel.
The Urban Search and Rescue Team from Vancouver (CAN-TF-1) in SAR parlance, has bypassed the US authorities to make a deal with the State of Louisiana and are now operating with the Louisiana State Police since Friday morning in St. Bernard Parish, east of NOLA. They're the only SAR team operating in that parish.
On behalf of American bloggers, to a Canadian blogger, THANK YOU FOR INVADING!!!!
