So...there is the CFL...I can get into that for a while but then...OK, then Christmas...if there ain't much driving...and...ummm...Superbowl if I have to...and...errr...maybe I will forgive the NHL...and...ummm...Oh!...Spring training starts in February!
I woke up in the middle of the night to listen to grown men cry into their telephones when they called into Chicago all-night sports talk radio. Good for the White Sox. They simply were not weak at any position and played the game intellegently. Amy Sancetta of Associated Press took the photo above - no flauting the misery of the Astros, just up side. A good image for the day. But I don't watch enough of their play to get into the personalities like the Red Sox or Yankees - except the manager Ozzie Guillen. I suppose that is a failing on my part. I can appreciate Crede's clutch hitting and play at third but I don't love it. Funny being a fan.

you know maybe it was a sweep but, perversely, it was also one of the best world series i have ever seen. every game was a nail biter. every game was a beautiful thing to watch. the astros, and i dont like them at all, have nothing to be ashamed of. sure, they may have lost four games in row but they were played magnificently in each of those games. they were just beaten is all. they didnt blow anything. last year's sweep was a snoozer. not this year.

Agree 100%. Best played sweep I have ever seen. That Astros pitcher last night was almost perfect.
