[Scene - my house 7:56 pm,, sofa circle.]So ended our first Saturday night of the season with hockey back on CBC. We had just watched the return of Coach's Corner and were collectively a little ashamed of anticipating such an awful piece of sports commentary. You know how Don Cherry keeps saying to Ron McLean that he knows nothing? I think Don is right. And you know how everyone says Don Cherry has lost it? I think everyone is right. So here is the primo table for discussion of the national game and...the two guys sitting at it aren't worth listening to.
Me: hockey?
He: baseball.

To play devil's advocate: maybe D&R's performance was just rusty? They haven't done a Coach's Corner spiel in 16 months. Give the ol' guys another chance, perhaps?
(Not that I watch HNIC often, maybe except during the playoffs....)
