Now that the CBC is unlocking the gates to the people who actually do the work I pay my 30 bucks a year for - and 90 for the other residents at my place - does that mean I am going to have to think those thoughts again? Thoughts like:

• Why don't people like promo girl? More creeky voiced sassy gals please.
• Why does The Currant get its name from a small twiggy branched fruiting bush and why does it have that ugly angy son of the announcer for Front Page Challenge doing basically the same joke every day in the intro?
• How long will it take Hockey Night in Canada to notice that SportsNet and TSN have better sports coverage of hockey and actually try to find some talent as well instead of teflon Ron and "controversial" Don. Wouldn't it be nice to actually find articulate former players to explain the game to us - oh, sorry...I see your point.
• Ditch Mansbridge. He's becoming Gzowskificated - a state of fossilization at which no one actually has to prove themselves anymore. Sure - give him the Order of Canada already but send him to the room where they keep Brian Williams.

And while you are at it, increase the web presence by about 4,672%. If there is one thing that is pathetic it is the insistence that there is some relationship between the CBC and BBC. Compare their internet versions and you will see it is more like CBC and the Maltese Television Service. Use the internet to create sub-regional branch news operations based on one or two kid reporters in every town over 50,000 people. Would it kill you to report on a municipality that didn't have an NHL team in 1973?
