Happy Dennis Lawrence
Well, I have my dark horse pick already for the World Cup 2006 pool here at GX40. Trinidad and Tobago (aka T. 'n'T.) beat Bahrain today in the final qualifier for the big tourney. Great that a guy called Dennis scored the big goal. No doubt there are many guys called Clive and Desmond whooping it up. Maybe even an ex-pat chum from Truro, Colum, who headed down there after school and I never heard of since.
So how can I get more Trinidadian and Tobagan around here in celebration? I need that flag.

Oh yeah, THE TRINIS MADE IT!!!!
I love being downrange and being in countries where World Cup Qualifying Games are being played. The whole cities shimmies and shakes with the up and down swings of the games. In an instant all bars, and traffic in the streets erupt in a roar of whoops-hollers and car-horns. At others, you can cut the tension with a knife.
Ah... to be in Bogota when a Colombia-Brasil game is being played, or in Santiago when a Chile-Argentina match is being fought. Helk! I even enjoyed myself thoroughly when last January Panama and Honduras were battling it over at Los Angeles (Calif). Panama City (a city more devoted to Baseball than Futbol) was all aglow with the match.... The beer flowed freely that eve', my friend.
