When I stock my shelves for the winter, it is all about the sauces. As far as I am concerned your staples are all sauces and dry goods. Everything else can be bought on the day. So happy was the lad when, during the trip south, I found a treasure trove of BBQ sauces. I now have five different Dinosaur BBQ as well as a number of extras including Stubbs spicy, one I have gained a liking for even with the cowboy hat. But the real gem was the Snuffy's Hot BBQ sauce. I really don't care if it tastes like lint given that fantastic photo of the dapper man who I can only presume is Snuffy himself.
My eldest brother once remarked on the sad state of affairs in hockey that no one had a good nickname anymore, not since Bunny Larocque. Snuffy is a good nickname.

Excellent blog. You sure know the best of Rochester with the Snuffy's sauce and the garbage plate. I would recommend you check out Sticky Lips BBQ next time you are in town. Better than Dinosaur. Kingston is a great city that I would like to spend some time in. My only experience came on a TI vacation when I took the Wolfe Island ferry in and spent part of a day before driving east to visit towns and around back to Clayton.
