A useful case came out of the Supreme Court of Canada on a question involving the privilege of the House of Commons. Given the last few weeks' events, it might be instructive on the relatioship between the Parliament and other parts of the Federal Government. Though involving a matter of employment, it provides a useful list of arguments and reference books to cite blindly in cocktail talk and on blogs this long holiday weekend.
