Try starting it up in "safe mode" (i.e. with no extras running). If it works, then it's an extension that you have installed that doesn't like the new version.

I've had problems with previous upgrades, but this one went very smoothly. (And it made it much faster.

I have no extenstions of Firefox installed - except that little flag thingie...I hate rebooting in safe. I hate all that. Why doesn't it self diagnose?

Check where applicable.

[ ] Autoupdate worked?
[ ] Download was finished?
[ ] Did you happen to run into a message that said 'Firefox needs to be closed'?
[ ] FireFox restarted correctly.

Also. If things went wrong, by default, it seems Firefox gets downloaded to the desktop. Double clicking just 'reinstalls' it.

Would it be better if I deleted all Firefox and downloaded again a fresh. I don't really care to much about the bookmarks, etc.

Ben -

No, not Windows safe mode. Firefox safe mode.

Deleting it and re-installing it could work too. But you don't have to lose all your bookmarks. Export them to a file, first, from the bookmarks manager.

Complete uninstall and reinstall worked and, even though I though I had deleted every version and then rebooted all my book marks were still there.

Interesting. Usually bad things only happen to me.
