For the me that once was the wee Scots immigrant kid, custard was a yellow powder that made a pudding that was like chocolate pudding but without the chocolate. Cooked wrong and it was lumpy. How simple I was.
Now care of a stall at a big mall I have discovered Kohr's custard which is somehow better than ice cream. Do you understand that? That is like saying something is better than pie. And it is lower in fat than ice cream all while tasting like you are chewing on a pound of butter. This does not compute, does not make sense on the planet I call home.
Ok - so are there any other custard stands out there I need to know about?

I personally like Abbott's, located in upstate NY. Delicious.

When I visited Denmark as a kid, we used to have frozen custard for desert quite alot. It was better than ice cream, but I had no idea what it was. It had some wierd Danish name. I've never seen it sold in North America.
