Here is what I like about Chuck Cadman:
- He is a booted old school Reformer who fought back and won the riding as an independent.
- He is seriously ill and sucked it up without a caucus to support, pay or even applaude him for his efforts distinct from his vote.
- When asked how an old Reformer and fiscal conservative could vote for the NDP add-on to the budget, he said there was a lot of good in there for his people in his city riding and that "I represent people."
- Sweet ponytail.

Chuck Cadman is a rare politician indeed. I doubt if there was another MP who voted the way the people in their riding wanted. I watched numerous interviews with Chuck before and after the vote and I was totally impressed with his laid back demeanour. There was no grandstanding, no dealing, no taped conversations and no threats made. David Kilgour could take a lesson from Mr. Cadman on how to be a politician.
