First let me apologize to those of you who are being drawn by my references to cricket only to find absense of understanding. Google now ranks me number three for "cricket" + "update" (as opposed to "cricket update" in which case I am #1 beating the worst named URL "cricinfo.com") and that is almost as sad as my rankings for "Kerry" + "policies" during the US election. Conversely, I do not apologize to those of you who have come looking for "Hungarian Tractor Love".
Anyway, after three days of India v. Pakistan cricket action in the Third Test, this is what the BBC is reporting:
It is almost as if I get it. Why do I care? Those points in the pool - twenty for me if Pakistan can hold off, twenty for everyone else if India pulls ahead, zero for everyone if it is a draw as appears most likely. Funny thing is that I cannot tell from the description of the play what is most likely, I am only going on the conclusions of these reports. So if anyone can explain cricket a bit without making tea drinking jokes (though...when else do you get to make tea drinking jokes) feel free.Third Test, Bangalore, day three (stumps). India 379-6 v Pakistan 570
Virender Sehwag hit a brilliant double hundred in a dominant batting display as Pakistan's bowlers were run ragged on day three of the Bangalore Test. Sehwag finally fell for 201 as India reached 379-6 after the third day in reply to Pakistan's first innings 570. Sehwag had put on 98 for the first wicket with Gautam Gambhir, 74 for the second with Rahul Dravid and 85 for the third with Sachin Tendulkar. India only need a draw to clinch the series after winning the second Test.

Admit it though, you gotta have balls for this game. You're standing there with yer bat, and a guy charges at you like a lunatic before unleashing a ball (a hard one I presume) that bounces right in front of you. That being said, it's time for Gautam Gambhir to step it up and take it to the next level. I've been very unhappy with his play.

I have been pondering about giving Electronic Arts a call and ask them if they could make a cricket game.

It appears that this game is going into DAY FIVE!!!<p>That alone makes cricket worthy.
