I don't know if I can forgive you. Have any of you told me about "Girl" from Beck's release Guero of earlier this year? No.
Fortunately the timing was perfect despite your indifference, with this warm evening, the apricot light turning to candy floss, I could get six listenings in while in the car going about the town. Though you never shared, I will share: [3.3 MB, .wma file]. It could make me dance again, as long as the DJ played nothing else - except perhaps Franz Ferdinand and endless rocksteady.

but is it, "my sum-mer gir-r-l" or "my sun-light gir-r-l"??? Both? Great tune either way.

The lyric sheet provided has "..." for that word. I think it is sometimes "sunny" and "sinner", too.

Thanks! Now that we're - dare I say it? - over 40, it's nice to get some new tracks in the mix now and again. Will take your White Stripes endorsement under advisement, too.
I'm still enjoying Scissor Sister's Comfortably Numb. Manhattan Dan had us download the whole album on his last visit.

Beck and Franz Ferdinand were both mothers day gifts from my very uncool husband (he has cool friends!!) My new summer tune guy is Jack Johnson. new cd is VERY fun. Gotta love "make you banana pancakes and pretend it's the weekend!" How are you, my Pal Al?

Which Jane my pal? Ottawa Jane? Fredericton Jane? I suppose I can check the IP...

Except Fredericton Jane's man is beyond cool. I think I am narrowing it down. In any event I am 42 fattish and looking forward to old timer's soccer tonight. Two days of no work will be rather nice as well.

I was so ahead on this. For once. The song is now #9 in Canada.
