I kind of got caught in over exposure dreamy land at Lower Buttermilk Falls, a state park right at the south end of Ithaca. It was quite the thing to see a great swimming hole with a real live life guard, families actually using those BBQs on a stick they put everywhere between 1964 and 1971 and kids doing cannonballs into 62º F (...'ing) water off a diving board coming up for air screaming at the cold.
Tomorrow: Ithaca snapshots week ends with the Farmer's Market and my introduction to the beauty that is Ralph's Ribs.

Did you camp there? I'm looking for a NYS park to camp at next month for four or five days.
Did the kids have enough to do there? And more importantly, is it within striking distance of any wineries?

What are you doing up at that time of day? Oh...what am I up at this time of day...<p>We camped not but really liked Ithaca. There were plenty of wineries in the area and a number represented at the Famer's Market. Our kids are that bit younger so the Sciencenter was great entertainment worth repeating. I bet bet when a young man's fancy turns to Marmite, he leave behind such things.
