Yesterday, the Supreme Court of Canada denied an application for leave to appeal the December 2004 overturning by the Federal Court of Appeal of the December 2003 ruling by the Copyright Board of Canada of the decision to put a levy on Mp3 players to cover the lost copyright fees left unpaid by the breachers of law.

It's like reading a sentence like "It wasn't that Jimmy didn't not want to go the store."
My head did not explode. But there were rumblings. Who overturned what to whom, and where does it all sit? Levy yes? Or levy no?

I leave that to you. If you are to be a full citizen you must be able to take on these things. You can't allow yourself to be the rube of professionals of the bench and bar. What would Jefferson say to all this???
