...and I never knew. From The Star:
Martin spoke in Memorial Hall at Kingston's City Hall, surrounded by Maple Leaf flags and bathed in soft light seeping through stained-glass windows dedicated to the Canadian dead of the First World War. The windows bear the names of great and terrible battles, from Vimy to Passchendale. Bronze plaques on the walls carry the names of Kingston's war dead.Martin was here to celebrate the flag with a local former MP who led the fight for the new flag. Apparently I missed the SWAT teams too. I think there is a lesson somewhere in here about the blogosphere and its capacity to understand the world as amateur journalists but my brain starts to ache when I try to put it better than that...then I just get sleepy. In compensations, here are a couple of posts about Memorial Hall here in Kingston which is one of the greatest civi spaces in the country...along with the clock tower library.
