Given that the PEI government operates on a 40% transfer from the rest of Canada, not to mention untold (literally "untold") additional millions in operational (not just capital) debt, the loss of $31 million to an amalgamation of lobster processors, the failure to grasp the most basic conflicts and the apparently inability of the government to describe actual events of the amalgamation and subsequent dealings in a meaningful way should be a concern to all Canadians - given that the amount involved far exceeds the $1.6 million which is the heart of the sponsorship inquiry.
