Nothing like being up in the night because of a cranky kid, killing an hour on the blogs and coming across this at NYCO's place:
For me, my biggest problem with the Internet has been those times when I just sit mindlessly an hour too long, waiting for something interesting to materialize, just as one would keep checking the fridge for food to magically appear. Hey, we’ve all been there right?I was sure we had havarti. Good night.

Yup. I can relate. I started blogging when I was recovering from a cesarean. It was the right combination of boredom and immobility. Also, since I wasn't getting much sleep, my ability to judge my own coherence was impaired. Perfect for blogging. Blogging also has its own version of channel flipping, but at least if you get really bored, you can argue with someone you don't really know on the internets.
Actually, when I first started, I have to confess I thought it would be different. I thought that there would be more (or some) acclaim involved. I guess if you're a dullard it's less like that and more like that lemonade stand you had as a kid where you end up drinking all the lemonade and if you're lucky buy yourself a bag of chips with the proceeds.

I actually have news of the acclaimation sort to be announced tomorrow which I cannot share today.

Should I say 'internets' or internets? It is obvious as a joke, isn't it?

Okay. It's tomorrow. What's your big news?
