David has been writing a lot about microformats and I have to admit it has gone completely past me as I assumed that he was talking about some sort of thingie. Now that I pay attention and have a look at this explanation I think that it is something like the thing I day dreamed about in October 2004, a way to label the bits of yourself all over the web to make one complete picture.

What I hope it will be is a way to fine tune aggregation rather than the total blurt of RSS that is pretty much all or nothing syndication at site X by one person of the content of another from site Y. I want a way to deny an aggregator access to copying my content while allowing others the use of it. Jay has an interesting post on the otherside, the all-seeing, all-speaking aggregator.
