Here I am in Toronto at the Royal York waiting for a rubber chicken plate and a presentation on the Gomery findings. As a civil servant with involvement in purchasing these kinds of things are interesting and I don't expect the question of who lied will even come up. More about process and how rules work or rather should work. Don't worry for the public splendor. Digs are elsewhere in view of Maple Leaf Gardens and I am paying.
And I was quite amazed with the Don Valley Parkway. I usually train in but thought I would drive. For all the negative press it gets at least between the 401 and Bloor Street exits it is quite the thing, a parkland highway in a ravine to the centre of the city. Even at the first of December. Should that surprise me?

It is lovely, isn't it? My sister used to complain that the ravine cut the city in half and they should just fill the stupid thing in, but it can be a nice view when you're stuck in traffic.
