I saw a Conservative Party TV ad this morning, during Sportsdesk, Sportsdesk or Desk of Sports or whatever its called, on child care policy and thought: "that was a good ad." I even knew what I was doing when I did it - with both brains even. Wow. Does this mean Stephen Taylor, Canada's nicest Torytm, is going to come knocking for a contribution?

i dunno. why is he with only women (youd make babies with) in the ad? because kids come out of vaginas? kids have fathers, eh. also, why does rona ambrose reference this as a "women's" issue? i can appreciate that single mothers have a hard time with childcare, but single fathers also exist. im dating an uber-traditional russian guy who doesnt know how to do 99% of household chores due to sexism in the old country, and even he has told me that childcare is something that involves both parents.

All quite true which is what you expect from conservatives perhaps but they actually have a new snazzy slogan, "Stand Up For Canada", which actually references the national anthem, is moderate and prudent, and would be difficult to turn against them.

I was stunned, too, when I saw the ads on their website.
They're kinda cheesy, but otherwise they work. Not even as angry as usual.
Trust that there'll be some sort of implosion before the Feb. election, though.

They will have to admit Harper is actually from the rings of Saturn, hence the curious facial expressions.
