Apparently, as says Jay, the opposition PCs have decided again to not bring down the Liberal Federal government despite all signs being that there is a smelly bad tale being told about corruption in the party which has led the nation for 12 years. Has this same nation ever seen two bigger softies than Martin and Harper? It makes you miss Mulroney. [Ed. Hang on...don't you need to take a shower?]
Think about it. On the one hand we have the government which is micro-corrupt yet macro-fiscal magicians. On the other hand we have the opposition who for 15 years have been seemingly yanking at the chain to get back in power yet can't muster the energy to actually engage in the political process to get there. Why? The vanity of the idle, I'd say. The Liberals are so convinced of their God given right to power that they have become shameless. By comparison, the Tories are so convinced of their God given right to power that they have become shiftless. Apart from the convictions of each (and apparently unled by either) the nation, the economy and the people are getting along marvellously - lower taxes and better services (except maybe for PEI which is moving ever so close to the black hole of the inability to support its existence - with no CFAs to blame.)
Then why does Harper not move? On one hand, if the government is brought down, there is some chance the golden goose of stability will fly away as the amateurs move in. On the other, if the government is brought in, the Tories will actually have to do something and, never having done that, it is not welcome. Gutless. What a state.
Update: Maybe its because they have skeletons, too?

I like the part about the whole system - then that plays for every government ever
