PORT ELGIN, N.B. - Port Elgin Community Council approved plans for the anticipated new Tantrama City at a meeting held outside Cole's Store last night at 10:37 pm. Dropping all references to Greater Port Elgin (the "GPE") after allegations of the whipping up of nationalistic sentiments at last weekend's rally at the Fair Grounds, the Community Council, amongst other planning matters passed, agreed in a split vote in principle to participation in governance in the impending union of Canada's Maritime provinces by non-Elginites. Attending the meeting were senior representatives of ACOA, cheque signing officers of ACOA and several gentlemen of Maltese ancestry who were also noted in attendence at last weekend's rally at the Fair Grounds. The meeting was adjourned 15 seconds before this week's Super 7 lotto numbers were announced by Mr. Cole from his doorstep.

Wouldn't it be easier to reclaim land from the water between New Brunswick and PEI, so we can do away with that bridge? You know, as a former person educated in Civil Engineering, I could make some nice polders out of that.

Where would the Federal fixed link funding grants come from?

Further, land reclaimation would not serve the overall economic goals of the TCEZ which are maximizing revenue through state monopolistic practice and implementation of unfeasible large scale infrastructure. Land reclamation has already been proven to be a fantastically successful project in the Netherlands so would not fit the "pilot project" mindset. Further, there is some concern that the proposed tidal power generation to be located on the Northumberland Straight (due to the fear that the powerful tides of the Bay of Fundy might actually lead to successful technological application - again in breach of the key principle of the "pilot project") might not work where water was actually replaced with land. Some of the suggested technologies being reviewed by TCEZ staffers (through the application of technology - aka surfing Google) include these two diagrams uncovered after six months of study:
