What does it really mean?
- no kids soccer after supper on Wed's and Thur's for the first time since May
- another claim to uncledom - my fifth...I think...
- getting dropped off at work every day because it is school day every day for the first time
- daydreaming about what to do with ten days off I have yet to take - Gulf of Maine for Canadian Thanksgiving is looking sweet
- another two months of Friday night old farts soccer with colder and colder knees
- is this the year people start doing things being respectful but without feeling weird on the 11th?
- hockey has started already but may not make it into October
- increased danger to root vegetables being subject to roasting beside hunks of lamb or pork
- sweaters will be worn even if shorts are as well
- too much politics from Washington and maybe the hint of something from Ottawa
- apples

Golf unimpeded by teachers and tourists ... the four and one half hour round magically becomes three hours.

Ehh .. not so much ... but my Christmas shopping is always ... ALWAYS .. all done by October 1 ... in fact, I'm set for this year ...
