Buddy had to borrow a car to drive to Moncton to pick up the prize? I'm thinking "Spring for the airline ticket, pal. Maybe even, just this once, fly business class."
Who are your friends and do they have VISA cards or are they all dirt poor too? Do you want to start telling everyone? What if you are not sure you even have the cash before you are there as in it all sounds like a dream. Sounds prudent to me.
There are no doubt many serious reasons I could come up with for driving from Cornerbrook to Moncton to pick up the winnings. Anybody up for being put into a coma, or can I just stay in smart-ass mode?
Pick any day's tunes as heard on CBC Ottawa's All in a Day hosted by my personal emailing buddy, Brent Bambury. You won't find a better music selection on radio anywhere - certainly not on the deeply dowdy CBC.
From Jan to March 2006, I tried a group humour blog with others on the subject of Canadian politics. It did not last but the posts were worth keeping. #16 was banned. There were no comments. It was at www.shadowcabinet.ca.

Exactly what I was thinking. Drive from Cornerbrook to Moncton? Ouch.

How do you get the ticket or even a car rental when you don't have a credit card, guys? Been that long since you've been broke?

I'm thinking if I had $18 million coming my way I could convince somebody to help me out and save me that drive.
