Major League Baseball is set today to announce the move of the New York Mets to Quebec City and the Minnesota Twins to the small eastern Quebec community of Gaspé as well as a 99 year lease on Olympic Stadium for the Montreal Expos. In its pending announcement, which we have been able to receive in draft, MLB states:
In an effort to reverse the utter disinterest in baseball within the largest minority English speaking community in North America, we see three teams as the way to go. Felipe Alou will manage all three teams, they will never have to play in the field, only bat, and our partners the government of Canada and VIA rail will subsidize the entire project.

Satire in the form of fake news is also a good reality booster.

I feel sad for both french speaking baseball fans. This is another example of how Quebeckers have been ignored and prejudiced by English Canada. Watch the Liberals run to soothe Quebec`s hurt feelings with even more money.

…and, do you think both these Expo fans are sitting around, having a beer, expressing their joy that their heros are finally gonna get paid what their worth as a result of the move to a more lucrative market? I don`t think so!
