I like it. Not the Senators, not the Expos or ex-Expos. The Washington Grays was one the Negro League teams.
Drawing some of the largest crowds in the area, the team managed to win and have fun while doing so. From 1937 to 1945 they won nine straight league pennants...The Grays traditionally outdrew their white counterparts, the cellar-dwelling Washington Senators. On the other hand, the Black Sox would be a fairly interesting choice given the nickname of the 1919 team of shame and the fact that is was also a Negro League name...but for rival city Baltimore.

Like my top Google ranking for "ham string" - which is properly "hamstring" - I lead the pack for "Washington Greys" because, of course, they were the "Grays", the US version of the word...which was actually used by the US team.

This is the uniform they should be going with:<p><img src="images/2004c/grays_projer_lg.jpg" hspace="10" vspace="10"> <img src="images/2004c/grays_flex.jpg" hspace="10" vspace="10">

I have a solution to the naming. Let's take the Black Sox and the Greys and merge them into the Washington Grey Sox! It's got my vote.

Grey Sox sounds great! Black Sox would be good too. Either one.
What colors, logo do you imagine? Gray with black pinstripes? White with black pinstripes?
