The new Red Ensign Standard is up. It is one of the better round-ups of similarly themed blogs out there - even thought for the most part I am not similar to much of what is written. I am accepted, I suppose, based on my approval of flags, my respect for the history of things and a certain respect for the constitution - but as it really is not as we would wish it to be. OK, its mainly about the flags.
And as I am the only NDP voter any of them know my opportunity for infiltration is sweet. By Christmas, we'll all be singing The International and comparing favorite passages from Marx. I am the guy who put the red in red ensign.

That'd be a negative on that last statement -- they are almost the only source of Conservative voters I know, aside from the people I worked with during the elections period. Most of my friends vote NDP, though I know a few Liberals, too.

Hey! You can carry the tenor on the anthem then. John of Argghhh was mentioning some softness around the social welfar front as well I noticed and he posted a photo of a Stalingrad era Soviet hat from his armory's collection. I thinking we may have many insurgent fellow travellers...

Well, I _can_ sing the Soviet national anthem in Russian... and have been known to, when drunk.
I'm not a fellow traveller, though -- libertarian-leaning hawk, which meant Conservative in June and Bush in this upcoming election. My lefty days are behind me. (Although my views on health care are nuanced, so to speak.)
