The Beauty
I am getting a life-size statute of Ortiz for my living room and one for portland, too, to stand next to the illuminated full-size goose.
I was all prepared for a black bordered bosox cap on the front page of this organ when I heard that in fact we won in the 12th. OK- I fell asleep listening to the game on WTIC 1080. Those waves of propagation are so soothing. Now we are on a role and...oops...Mr. Who's your Daddy v. Mussina, whose head hovers smilingly to the right. Oh me nerves. Has Derek Lowe reconstituted himself in water? Has he added to the inevitable mid-winter trade value he will bring in?

mr. lowe is a free agent. i'd be surprised if they sign him or petey. they've got schilling and arroyo and they'll build from there. they'll retain tek and cabrera.

I am insisting family members call me Orlando now. The children are the most resistant.

5th game, 8th inning. Ditto. I think Boston needs to clone Ortiz.

The fact that Fox is using Franz Ferdinand's "Jacqueline" as a intro tune is slightly eclipsed by the fact that Ortiz won it in the 15th...as well as the fact that he tried a steal (and was ripped off in not being awarded it) in the 12th.

Crazy... and Schilling gets a chance to redeem himself in game six.
I predict he wins it, and then the Red Sox manage to blow a lead in game seven again. Anything else would violate some law of baseball.

We won. You and I. we won. I found myself kneeling before the footstool and realized I was praying. I prayed, we won.
