It's been a while since I pointed out the virtues of Brent Bambury but the changes to the CBC Ottawa web site for All in a Day, his 4 to 6 drive home show, as well as his recent week off that show reminded me of what an asset he is to the CBC.
I particularly like the snazzy hoodie he is shown wearing on the web - known to my former roomie from smalltown Saskatchewan as a "bunny hug" and elsewhere as a "kangaroo sweatshirt", I am a big fan of the hoodie and particularly the sweet black silverorange one I got for Xmas 2002. While in Portland, Maine recently, I picked up a navy one at Goodwill with the words "Vernon Band" and a viking logo for herself. It has to be from Vernon, NJ if Google is to be believed. If I was looking for a new one, I would want a mid-green one with the mid-level mid-western USA college sport of little interest on it like, say, Missouri Tech Water Polo or Kansas Baptist Ping Pong.

Have to admit, not too many older folks look as smart in a hoodie as that guy. Haven't heard him in eons until I got the net. Grooveshinny is the most fun, though I'll admit after two minutes I'd get whooped on there. Matter of fact, hearing him play Frankie Knuckles a few weeks ago really sums him up, I think. By the way, he got me through junior high, so yeah, he's worth a few tributes round here. Good read.

This is more a reply to Alan got some Pixies tickets, and I am desperate to have one. If you have Floor Gen Admission tickets, Alan, and for whatever tragic reason you can't go, or have too many, I will swoop in like some kind of crazy drunken seagull and take one off your hands. Thanks for letting me beg and grovel.
