I swear it is the first thing I thought of when I saw the van - some faceless bureaucrat approving an application and issuing a cheque. I am sure there is an ACOA grant behind this somewhere. Perhaps even NRC funding.

if i had a scanner i'd send a picture of the "Clean Beer" van that trolls my neighborhood. people, wake up, you've been drinking dirty beer! a couple of other things. 1. how does one talk to you privately? does everything have to be out here? are you madonna now? 2. on one of your other posts, i'm wondering why it is that surrounding the number two guy is news. isn't it news when when they get him? and 3. count me as part of the official martha stewart backlash. shame on cbc for that bit of reporting about martha asking her friends for help. she's facing prison and gets to ask whoever she wants to for help. shame on you for posting that piece of derision to your blog. i'll bet even martha stewart has feelings.

I have that photo on the fridge. I will put it up this weekend.
You can email me via the incredibly well named "email me link" under the flag photo.
I want scientific research supporting the proposition that Martha Stewart has feelings before I buy in. I think all the evidence is against it.

She lied to the investigators. Her legal counsel ought to be shot for incompetence. You remember that first day in law school where they told you never never never try to explain what happened to the cops? Apparently she paid a couple million to explain herself and has bought ten to 16 months for her efforts. Silence is both a right and a really really smart thing.

i didn't say she was innocent. she may be getting what she deserves but on top of that guys like you and the cbc are calling her names, making fun of her, and just generally being schoolyard jerks because she can bake a cake and you can't. enough already. and as for your comments, lying to the investigators is one strategy if you're guilty, although like you, i'd also say it's better to just shut up.
on your second point, is it her fault that counsel screwed up? she didn't exactly get the guy out of the yellow pages.
and, third, nobody ever says that to you in law school. we were fed some nonsense about the ordinary man on the london trolly and keeping your dog on a leash that i'm still sifting through.

Forget Martha! Worry about space rocks!
Wouldn't it have been freaky if the space rock hit the valley in Pakista and killed all of Al Qaeda?
