Rogers Sportsnet guys (whose names escape me even though they are on my TV weekly) were everywhere. Small screen Canadian cable TV heroes. Belize was pretty bad but pretty young. The first goal was by Tomasz Radzinski and a very Alan Shearer volley it was from five yards out of the box...if Shearer was playing teens from a Central American Commonwealth outpost that is. We left at 3-0 with half a half left as the five year old who I refuse to carry due to her viking heritage was getting sleepy. A block away the crowd roared again. Belize's #18 - Victor Moreles? - was the worse diving and grabbing body part thesbian I have ever seen. The whole thing was all very FIFA: fourth official, FIFA flag, hacks in suits.
