Ranting and Roaring, The home of David Janes, chef de mission of the Carvival of the Canucks has picked me to present the 3 Feburary issue. Amongst us PWPers, a "carnival" is a regular listing of blogs of note but the list moves from person to person for each issue. (I just woke up from a nap so I imagine that definition makes no sense.)
There are various carnivals on the go and ours is just for Canadian bloggers. Next Tuesday's version is being hosted by Michael, a Newf in Atlanta over at Discount Blogger. I think Michael is the greatest expat Canadian blogger this week hitting #157 in the TTLB Econsystem this weekend. I am wallowing in the mid-2000's. Accordian Guy is one of the busiest bloggers within the country and his carnival of canucks week mid- December was legendary...mythic - here is his Day One. He used a Doug and Bob theme.
What theme shall I use? Blogs that remind me of favorite fast foods? Blogs that remind me of great hockey players of the 1960s or great bullfighters of the '20s? Who knows. Do you? Vote for my theme!

Can you tell me in plain programmer's terms what a blog 'carnival' is?

It is just a listing of favorite sites. The hosting of the listing moves week to week like a relay to get different voices sharing what they each think is interesting out there.
