The Danes have one of the highest GDPs per worker in Europe or in the world for that matter. But this figure is misleading, as technological advances in agriculture have allowed for more production from less workers. The decline in hours worked by industrial workers, and the declining number of workers in the work force is of serious concern to the Danish Government, as is the lack of foreign investment. The cause of the lack of foreign investment has to be linked directly to these overly generous "labor friendly" government policies. The Danish economy is stagnant or in decline, depending on your reading of the data. Not a good place to put your money.
