I actually watched the Champs Sports Bowl game last night between Syracuse and Georgia Tech out of some small spot of loyalty I have found in myself for Syracuse in the NCAA for all things but hockey, which finds me a St. Lawrence supporter. My rule is if you haven't got a personal reason to pick a team, like you saw them once as a kid, in a sport you have to pick the nearest. Well, at half it was 42-6 Georgia Tech. I swear the Syracuse QB was trying to invent new ways to get intercepted. The ESPN play-by-play commentators spent the second half talking about restaurants in their favourite bowl cities. It was bad. Too many bowl games.
