Given the awful events we have seen from south Asia over the last days, joking complaints about driving the 1200 km loop through various in-laws homes would be both tasteless and incorrect. Actually, I lay around a basement reading hundreds of pages of Patrick O'Brien, got a very snazzy haircut from a nice latin lass who was genuinely disheartened that I wanted all of my near pony-tail length cut off, made gravy, ate with 17 of four generations, enjoyed the company of my formerly most whining neice who has become a genuine example of polite conversion, made sure I was carving at the Swedish relatives home while Canada as kicking them 8-1 in the World Juniors, listened to 760 WJR in the daytime, saw the best Christmas decorations a town might put out at Owen Sound - which apparently is run by the municipality for the people rather than by business for dollars. I also thanked the good Lord once again for Tim Hortons and the 407.
I hope all your holidays have been great and look forward to returning to regular broadcasting tomorrow. I trust you have all got your Hogmanay plans settled. You do all celebrate Hogmanay, don't you?!?!?
