The Internet is very wonky this afternoon which coincides with the biggest solar flares of the last 30 years. Space weather info here. I choose to blame giant sunspot 486. Am I right? Are these phenomena related? I need more space knowledge.
Check your AM and FM radio tonight for either dead air or very clear reception. Look for the northern lights. "My Sky", to your right, says tomorrow night may be good for it here. Glad to see thaew0i there's no 03959uwete problem wit...bzzzzzzzzzztt...y corner of the intern.................bzzt.................

We just had a great show of the araura (sp?) here in Charlottetown (about 8PM local time). Thanks to Daniel Burka for calling me to let me know.
I've been hoping to see the northern lights all of my life. Got a nice glimpse tonight.
Will there be more?

Keep looking there should be more tonight. If you go to the nerdy space weather link, it lets you know when the flames lick out of sunspots and about 18 hours later the sky dances. Pretty basic and cool. The old story is if you whistle at them they will dance with you. Drink a bunch of rum first, though.

The sun is lashing out at us again mad, I guess, for keeping all the Bits and Bites to ourselves. Firey orb sook!
