After being up late dieing with the Sox, the five year old got me up at 6:00 am which let me find out where CBC Commentary had gone. For years, this was fixed at 8:17 am right after The World at Eight giving people - other than journalists and policitians - an opportunity three minutes to skew any news story their way before the nation. An anti-thetical crankfest every morning. It was so well followed and respected as an alternative voice that in the '80's I remember the idea went around that then Prime Minister Brian Mulroney wanted it shut down.

At least since the creation of the new morning format with The Current starting at 8:30 am, I had lost it. I recall CBC PEI moved it around, hid it or entirely failed to run it by times, too, in the late '90's - what with being full of news from amongst the satanic "other side" and all - so it feels like a long time since I had heard it.
